Divyangjan Sahayak Desk At Railway Stations

Empowering Travel With Dignity

India's First Divyangjan Sahayak Desk at RailwaySations

n January 2024, we introduced India’s first railway station help desks for people with disabilities at New Delhi and Nizamuddin Railway Stations under the Seeing is Believing CSR initiative by Standard Chartered, in collaboration with EnAble India and Northern Railway. By August, we expanded the service to Anand Vihar and Gurgaon stations.

These help desks have assisted 10000+ individuals in one year, including people with disabilities, elderly travellers, and patients journeying for treatment, enabling them to board trains with dignity. The support and appreciation we’ve received for this initiative inspire us to continue creating accessible and inclusive spaces. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey!

Seeing is Believing

The “Seeing is Believing” initiative by Standard Chartered Bank is a global program focused on tackling avoidable blindness and promoting visual health. Established in 2003, it became a significant Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) effort by the bank, aiming to reach underserved communities worldwide.

This initiative highlights the bank’s commitment to improving public health and social equity on a global scale

The initiative supported various projects such as providing affordable eye care services, training healthcare professionals, and funding vision-related research and innovations. It successfully raised over USD 100 million, benefitting millions of people in need. By 2020, the program transitioned into a broader collaboration with Peek Vision, focusing on empowering communities with sustainable eye care services.
