I was born with a disorder called LCA, Leabor’s Congenital Amorosis, which left me blind with only light
perception.

My first internship opportunity was nothing you can call stressful. Anuprayaas foundation gave
me an opportunity to put my creative skills to the test, as a “Digital Content Creator”, for their
social merchandise Braillemate. During my two month work period, I had to make a series of
videos, each demonstrating a unique topic. Among these videos were videos on Blind Cricket,How I use my cane, How I use the laptop and smart phone and quite a few more.
Even before I got an opportunity to work with Anuprayaas, filming videos was one of my
hobbies. I used to make videos and stream live on YouTube whenever I was free, and I enjoyed it
thoroughly. My work experience with Anuprayaas increased that joy in producing content. More
importantly, however, Anuprayaas gave me a set of tools that helped me create content better
and more efficiently than ever before. I learned more from this experience of application of
knowledge, than I ever learned in any course, and I could never thank Anuprayaas enough for
making me a better content producer than ever before.

In the end, I don’t think my YouTube channel would be having the steep growth it is currently
taking on, had it not been for the experience I gained working with Anuprayaas. I would thus like
to thank all the people at Anuprayaas for teaching me a whole lot, and continuously
encouraging me to go ahead and produce the best quality content I could.

At the start, I didn’t know if I could complete this task but I was sure enough that you guys would support me and help me whenever I needed. This opportunity made me realize my potentials and I cannot thank Anuprayaas enough. It was a great experience and I learned to overcome all sorts of challenges. And somewhere amidst all of this, I developed compassion for the specially challenged. Anuprayaas is bringing in the actual change that we all want to see in the society but dared not to do it ourselves. “What is the best part about working in any organization? Be it Mysore railway station or Bangalore city junction, on both occasion I was given full freedom from organization to accomplish my work and that’s what is the x-factor of “Anuprayaas”. The freedom about choosing responsibility as per your choice and it’s execution as per your planning is something which is rare now a days in social organizations. And I guess this is the best part of Anuprayaas. For me it’s something personal rather than professional, because rather than agreeing to the intention behind emergence of this organization , I have felt the need and have seen it from Pancham Bhaiya’s (Pancham Cajla) viewpoint. Because of this organization only, I felt the importance of eye donation. I won’t say that I was among one of the founding members, but for sure I was one among the initial volunteers, and being in this particular organization has helped me to see the other side of coin , particularly in terms of social service.
